Visit By Raine Countess Spencer To The Belarusian Children's Hospice

Lady_Spencer_at_Hospice-sOn 15 July 2009, Raine Countess Spencer visited the Belarusian Children's Hospice, accompanied by the British Ambassador to Belarus, Nigel Gould-Davis; the Belarusian Ambassador to the UK, Alexander Mikhnevich with his wife, Tatiana Mikhnevich and Olga Kobyakova, wife of the Vice-Premier of Belarus, Andrei Kobyakov.

On 15 July 2009, Raine Countess Spencer visited the Belarusian Children's Hospice, accompanied by the British Ambassador to Belarus, Nigel Gould-Davis; the Belarusian Ambassador to the UK, Alexander Mikhnevich with his wife, Tatiana Mikhnevich and Olga Kobyakova, wife of the Vice-Premier of Belarus, Andrei Kobyakov.

The visit was covered by several Belarusian television channels and newspapers. The party spent almost two hours visiting the hospice, meeting staff and patients and having discussions with its director Anna Garchakova and its new fundraiser and PR manager, Maxim Padbiarozkin. The visit marked the beginning of a major new campaign by BCH and Friends of BCH to raise the profile of the hospice within Belarus.
