Letter from from the mother of Kirill Andreev, June 2008
My name is Marina. Our son Kirill is now 7 months old. He was born with severe health problems. He didn’t even cry during his first moments of life. After a month in intensive care he was transferred for another month to the neurological ward in Hospital No.7. The doctor treating him advised me to contact the Belarussian Children’s Hospice which immediately responded and took us under its care. Since then the Hospice has provided us with the necessary drugs, given us material support and, most importantly, has given us the support and counselling we need in our terrible plight. We are now under the constant care of its excellent specialist staff. Thank you very much indeed to your organisation for its support and kindness. I would particularly like to thank senior nurse Natalia, doctor Tatiana Vasilievna and the director of the Belarussian Children’s Hospice.

Letter from the Ostroukhov family who have two terminally ill sons under BCH care Dear Friends!
Please accept with all our heart the enormous gratitude of the Ostroukhov family and our recognition of all you do to support and help.
Our children often talk about your visit here, your kindness and warmth.
We are very glad that despite the serious illness of our sons, Kirill and Kolya, we are surrounded by the care of concerned and sympathetic people. We are constantly aware of your love and attention.
Thank you very much for everything!
Yours sincerely,
The Ostroukhov family.

When my life is finally measured in months, weeks, days, hours...
I want to live free of pain, indignity and loneliness.
Give me shelter, reach out your hand and give me understanding, give me your love.
Then let me go peacefully, and help my family to understand.
